ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHAPEL
Music Worship Leader, Male, Part-time (3-4 hours/week)
Summary:
We are looking for a talented, part-time, male, Christian Music Worship Leader for our Bible-based, small, friendly, conservative, country church. Our services are dedicated to bringing praise and worship to our Lord, and to provide a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs/hymns. The Music Worship Leader would be responsible to lead music during our weekly Sunday worship services and other special services, including (but not limited to) Christmas, Resurrection Sunday/Sunrise Service and Annual BBQ. This is a part-time, year-round position defined as salary. The work is done cooperatively with the Pastor.
Qualifications:
-Male, with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him. Fully devoted to the Lord and committed to expressing that devotion through
heart-felt worship, consistent with RMC tradition.
-Ability to lead music worship.
-Ability to work as a co-laborer with the Pastor and volunteers.
-Ability to play traditional and modern hymns, as well as contemporary music, yet, avoiding current music/groups (such as Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, Vineyard, etc.) who appear to be sinful and apostate, regardless of how popular they may be. There are myriads of older praise music (and contemporary hymn writers, such as Getty’s, Matt Papa/Boswell, etc.), who glorify God and whose walk is consistent with their music.
-Will hold to Scripture as being divinely inspired and without error.
-Commitment to the mission, vision and worship philosophy of Rocky Mountain Chapel.
-Doctrinal position will be consistent with the statement of faith set forth at Rocky Mountain Chapel and along the lines of John MacArthur’s church/statement: https://www.gty.org/about#doctrines.
-Ability to play an instrument is a great plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with Pastor and Worship Team to plan and coordinate music for worship services that align with the overall vision and mission of Rocky Mountain Chapel, as well as weekly sermon.
-Available to lead and facilitate Sunday morning rehearsal and 10am Worship Service, working with small Worship Team, and leading the congregation in singing. (Usually takes three (3) hours for practice/service.)
-Work closely with Media Team to ensure lyrics, background music (if necessary), etc., are facilitated for best music worship experience. (We have ISing/CCLI licensing and Media Team will handle that end of things.)
-Communicate effectively with the congregation and engage them before/after services, so they can get to know you, as we are a friendly, loving church, and more like one, extended family.
-We are looking for Music Worship Leader to become a member of RMC and ministry.
-Enlist and use the talents within the church congregation, according to RMC policies.
-Maintain faithful attendance with appropriate attire at regularly scheduled worship services (Pastor wears jeans).
-Provide servant leadership and motivational encouragement.
-Music Worship Leader will report directly to the Pastor only.
Hours and Compensation:
Part-time (3-4 hours/week)
The Music Worship Leader is a part-time position and will be expected to work an average of 3-4 hours a week. Three (3) hours physically at RMC and time needed for at-home music preparation.
Start Date: Jan 1, 2024
Salary: $800-$1,000 month, with cost-of-living increases and 2 weeks paid vacation, annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience and paid in the form of bi-weekly salary.

We are a small, conservative, Bible preaching, teaching, living church in the beautiful mountains outside of Cripple Creek, Colorado. We are a multigenerational, but older, congregation and average about 50-80 per week. Most people are drawn and stay by the love and friendliness of our church family, as we’re a fun bunch, who love to fellowship with one another in the joy of the Lord, as much as we can, and we strive to disciple and grow our members in their walk in the Lord, with various Bible studies and events, throughout the week.
